What "High-Pressure" Means: MP, HP and Ultra-High-Pressure (UHP) Fittings
In instrumentation practice, "medium-pressure" (MP), "high-pressure" (HP) and "ultra-high-pressure" (UHP) aren't fixed thresholds. They're working-pressure bands. Medium-pressure fittings (MP fittings), high-pressure fittings and ultra-high-pressure fittings each carry a rating set by the maximum pressure their connection and material can seal at temperature. HP and UHP bands are dominated by coned-and-threaded designs and heavy-wall compression fittings, since a metal-to-metal cone seal holds where an elastomer or light-wall ferrule simply can't. Crestflo's tested range covers precision threaded high-pressure fittings and 37° flare fittings up to 15,000 psi, valve manifolds up to 10,000 psi, and cone-and-thread fittings up to 30,000 psi in high-tensile stainless. Compression tube fittings seal to rating depending on size, per the applicable standard, and ultra-high-pressure classes beyond that get quoted against the specific requirement. Buyers use a lot of different names for this one family of instrumentation hardware, and each term points to the same gear, whatever it's called. Some call it high pressure tube fittings, high pressure fittings, or just HP fittings. Others say high pressure compression fittings, or high pressure stainless steel fittings. Then there are the threaded variants: cone and thread fittings, coned and threaded fittings, cone-and-collar fittings, autoclave fittings, autoclave-style fittings. High pressure valves carry the same range of labels: high pressure needle valve, high pressure ball valve, high pressure check valve, high pressure relief valve, plus metering, bleed and manifold valves, all part of one product line.
Pressure-class call-outs follow the same logic. Ratings of 3,000, 6,000, 10,000 (10k psi), 15,000, 20,000, 30,000 and 60,000 psi (roughly 207, 414, 690, 1,035, 1,380, 2,070 and 4,140 bar) all describe the identical product family, just at different ratings.

High-pressure fittings on this page are instrumentation and process components. Think cone-and-thread and compression fittings in stainless and alloy, built for analytical, hydraulic-instrument and hydrostatic lines. They aren't SCUBA or breathing-air fittings. They aren't PVC or plumbing "high-pressure" pipe either, and they're not hydraulic-hose crimp adapters. When we say "high pressure hydraulic fittings" here, we mean rigid instrument and hydraulic-instrument tubing connections, not hose ends.

Cone-and-Thread (Coned-and-Threaded) High-Pressure Fittings to 30,000 psi
A cone-and-thread fitting is a high-pressure connection: the tube end is machined to a cone, and a threaded gland draws it into a metal-to-metal seal against the fitting body. That's the "autoclave-style" method, and it holds elevated working pressures where compression ferrules hit their limit. High-Pressure Tubing for Instrument and Hydraulic Lines
Crestflo supplies matched sets, so pairing high-pressure fittings with heavy-wall tubing rated to the same working pressure isn't a guessing game. The lineup covers hydraulic tubing, instrumentation tubing, seamless tubing and high-pressure coiled instrument tubing in stainless and alloy. OD, wall thickness and working pressure are specified to your line, not left to chance. High-Pressure Fitting Materials: 316L, 904L, Duplex, Inconel, Monel & Hastelloy
High-tensile stainless carries the load for most high-pressure fittings. Corrosive, sour or elevated-temperature high-pressure media call for something tougher: the full nickel and corrosion-resistant-alloy range. These high-pressure alloy fittings aren't downgraded for it, either. They carry the same ratings as their stainless counterparts. Are the high-pressure fittings NACE-compliant for sour service?

Do you supply high-pressure valves too?
Yes. We supply needle, ball, check/NRV, relief, metering, gauge/root, bleed, toggle, plug and 2/3/5-way manifold valves in sizes from 1/16" to 1". Manifolds carry a rating of 10,000 psi, while double block & bleed valves are rated to 3,000 psi under ASME B16.34. Every valve meets the relevant standards: ASME B16.34, API 6D/598/602.
Can these replace Swagelok, Parker or Hy-Lok high-pressure parts?
Crestflo compression fittings are built as dimensional drop-in replacements, and every one meets ASTM F1387. Swap them in and the fit is dimensional and equivalent, never think of it as "compatible" or something you intermix. Send over your Swagelok® or Parker® cross-reference, and our engineering team will hand back the matching Crestflo specification.
