Put simply: every Crestflo instrumentation fitting and valve is made under an ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and PED certified quality management system. Compression tube fittings are qualified to ASTM F1387. "Quality" here refers to the quality assurance and certification system for instrumentation (fluid-system) fittings, valves and tubing, not plumbing, HVAC, or general pipe fittings. Buyers and specifiers describe this same system under many names. On a supplier questionnaire it's the quality management system (QMS) or quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program. In an approved-vendor file, it shows up as certifications, accreditations, approvals, compliance or conformance evidence. Documentation buyers ask for material traceability, mill or material test certificates (MTC/MTR, i.e. A mill test report) and certificates of conformance. Inspection buyers, meanwhile, want to know about testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), third-party inspection (TPI) and witnessed inspection. For instrumentation valves, the governing approvals are the valve standards, ASME B16.34 and the applicable API 6D / 598 / 602 series, not ASTM F1387, which covers compression-tube fittings. Forged fittings reference ASME B16.11, and NPT threads reference ASME B1.20.1. Wetted stainless has to conform to the material specs that apply: ASTM A269 for seamless and welded tubing, ASTM A276 and A479 for bar and forged stock, with product-form specs set per grade. ASTM F1387: The Interchange Proof Behind Drop-In Instrumentation Fittings

ASTM F1387 is the standard that governs mechanical performance for separable and compression tube fittings, covering pressure, vibration, fatigue, rotary flex and pull-out among other things. It's why Crestflo can say its compression tube fittings are engineered for dimensional drop-in interchange with Swagelok®, Parker®, Hoke®, Hy-Lok® and Fitok® fittings, and back that statement with a named qualification rather than an unproven "compatible" claim. Most alternative suppliers cite F1387 without ever tying it to actual interchange evidence. Crestflo connects the two.

We keep our language precise here: these are independently manufactured parts, engineered for equivalent form and fit. Dimensionally interchangeable, nothing more. We won't call them "compatible," "intermix," "identical," or "genuine."

Material Traceability & Documentation: EN 10204 MTC, Heat Number & PMI

Every Crestflo part carries a heat/lot number marked on the part itself, tied back to an EN 10204 3.1 material test certificate as standard, with 3.2 available on request. EN 10204 sets out four inspection-document types: 2.1, 2.2, 3.1 and 3.2. Crestflo issues 3.1 by default and provides independently-inspected 3.2 when asked. Positive material identification confirms the alloy chemistry, and a certificate of conformance can be supplied on request.
