A 3000 psi component is specified many ways across drawings and datasheets. Engineers call it a 3000 psi valve, 3,000 psi valve, 3000 PSIG valve, 3000 psi rated fittings, or a 3000 psi CWP valve (cold working pressure). In metric callouts the same rating reads ≈207 bar, ≈20.7 MPa, or ≈211 kg/cm². What "3000 PSI" Means on a Valve or Fitting: CWP vs Flange Class
Cold working pressure (CWP) is the maximum non-shock pressure a valve or fitting will hold at ambient temperature. It is the instrumentation valve pressure rating you specify on a datasheet, and the psi rating of a tube fitting is read the same way. A 3000 psi CWP rating is a common instrumentation tier, it is a component rating, not a flange class. Flange classes (150 / 300 / 600) are pressure-temperature ratings for flanged joints under ASME B16.34 and are a different system; a Class 300 flange and a 3000 psi CWP component are not the same thing. The CWP a component actually holds depends on the body alloy and derates as temperature rises. Values below are per applicable standard and are customizable to requirement.

3000 PSI Temperature Derating
A 3000 psi CWP rating applies at ambient temperature. As service temperature rises, the allowable working pressure derates according to the body alloy's pressure-temperature curve per ASME B16.34. 316/316L retains more of its rating at moderate temperature than at elevated temperature, while nickel alloys extend the usable envelope. Confirm the derated rating for your temperature against the applicable material curve; ratings are customizable to requirement.
