Throughout this FAQ, needle valve, ball valve, ferrule, manifold, and compression fitting mean instrumentation and fluid-system components built for small-bore process, analyzer, and control lines. They don't refer to carburetor needle valves, plumbing ball valves, electrical wire ferrules, exhaust or PEX manifolds, or copper plumbing compression fittings.

Needle Valve vs Ball Valve & Single vs Double Ferrule: Quick Comparisons
A needle valve throttles flow with fine control, using a tapered stem for metering and isolation. A ball valve, by contrast, gives quick quarter-turn on/off through a bored ball. Both count as instrumentation valves, not plumbing or automotive parts.
A single-ferrule fitting relies on one ferrule to grip and seal in a single component. A double-ferrule, or compression, fitting splits those two jobs across two ferrules, which makes for repeatable make-up. Are Crestflo fittings made in the USA or TAA compliant?
Crestflo builds for the US market and engineers its products as drop-in replacements for US applications. The standard product comes from India, though US and European-melt options are available on request when a job calls for domestic-melt or TAA-eligible material. There's no US warehouse yet. What is a compression (double-ferrule) tube fitting?

What is the difference between a needle valve and a ball valve?

Do you make pipe fittings or flanges?
No, the US range covers instrumentation only: tube, compression, ferrule, face-seal, flare and cone-and-thread fittings, valves, regulators, accessories, and tubing. Instrumentation tube fittings aren't pipe fittings. They grip and seal small-bore tube mechanically with a ferrule, not by threading or welding pipe. See the full products range.
Which threads are available?
NPT, NPTF, BSPT, BSPP, ISO parallel, JIC-37, and SAE-ORB end connections come in imperial or metric, each built to the applicable standard. Browse tube fittings for thread options.
What materials and alloys do you offer?

Do you offer brass fittings?

Which alloy should I use for sour / H2S service?

What is ASTM F1387?

Hydraulic proof, burst and impulse, pneumatic, fatigue, vibration, thermal cycling, pull-out and vacuum testing, positive material identification, and 100% seat & shell leak testing on manifolds, with in-house NDT, destructive testing at ISO/IEC 17025-accredited labs, and third-party inspection on request.
